Yep, it's time to head into parts unknown, where we'll explore new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where our destinies and fortunes take us.
And by "fortunes" I mean, of course, giant treasure chests filled with ... um, fortune:

This is an odd coincidence. Just yesterday I was browsing around in CakesDecor.com, looking at a bunch of CorrieCakes. She made a simple, round birthday cake using this exact Mary Poppins silhouette, only it was lying flat on the top of the cake, not standing up. And the 2 rows of buildings making up the London skyline were the same shapes, only with more light-and-dark contrast. I would swear that this 2-tier Mary Poppins cake was also her work, except photos of her stuff ALWAYS have the CorrieCakes watermark. (Some extremely computer-savvy tach wizards know how to remove watermarks through a process known as “hacking”. Maybe that’s what happened here.) Whadaya know, I found it again! Here’s the link:

Golly, if someone had presented me with that Mary Poppins cake when I was seven, I would have burst with excitement and joy, and finished with a supercalifragilisticexpiallidocious meltdown! Heck, the same thing would happen if I got that cake today! Somebody *must* find the cake-maker responsible!
Looks like I'm the first (unless somebody barely beats me to it). *LOVE* the "UP" cakes. That's my dad's favorite animated movie of all time (possibly his favorite movie, period).
I am not happy that Beast is on the villain cake! Gaston should've been!!!! :(

The "Up" cakes--fantastic! They all are gorgeous, but I love "Up" and now I have to go watch the first 15 minutes again.

I am with Michelle! I do not agree to the Beast being on the villain cake. (At least he is well done and handsome). I love that Azreal (the cat) is giving Ursula the evil eye, though! And I, too, join Jen in balling my eyes out over that cartoon. Mr. Frederickson looks (and acts) a LOT like my own dad, and my parents had a love like that, so it makes me cry. Every. Single. Time. Love all these cakes!!!
Amazing as always, but what is the Beast doing with villains? One of these things is not like the other.
OMG! I want a TARDIS cake. Which I have, at least partial, thank you Jen for introducing me to Doctor Who. Between here and Epbot, I was convinced to watch it, and now I am in love with it.

I join with many others in wondering what Beast was doing on the villain cake. As soon as I saw that, I said, "Huh?" Perhaps this cakemaker needs to review the movie!

And that last cake made me cry. I'm crying over CAKE! What the what? (Both the UP cakes are fabulous. ALL these cakes are fabulous!)
Posts like these always want me to try and order one for my birthday, but I keep hesitating because I don't know how much these cakes usually cost and there's no price guide that I can see...

Loving the Mary Poppins cake! Does it take more than four days to make, y'think? My birthday's on Thursday, and I'm contemplating asking for either this or the UP cake. Although the Puss in Boots is cute too!
So glad someone else also pointed out that the Beast should not have been on that villian cake! Loved every cake shown but was a little put off when I saw Beast where Gaston belongs! Love the Up cake, those balloons are awesome!
As a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, I'm offended that Beast is on the "villain" cake!

You need to feature some cakes from Heritage Bakery in Livonia, Mi. They just did a Despicable Me cake and posted it on facbook that is amazing. And they mad R2D2 for my friends wedding for the grooms cake.

No one cries alone...really. I've "bawled like a baby" over a "cartoon" (or two), myself! (And yes, mostly Diz "can-we-say-that-knee-word?" movies.) That they can, and in fact DO elicit genuine, human emotions using something that isn't human...well, those aren't "cartoonists." They're artists, in my book.("Cartoon artists"-whatever.) I could cry over one of THESE cakes, truth be told...the "UP" one reminds me of my Dad and Mom (who're both gone). Sweetness reigns/rains...!!

@Marebabe The probably reason why the silhouettes are the same is because they are taken from the poster/promotional material for the new Mary Poppins musical. (If you do a Google Image search for "mary poppins musical" you'll see what I mean.)

I'm just as glad the Beast is on the cake. I used to love Beauty & the Beast until I found myself in an abusive marriage. "A little anger management therapy" fixing THAT behavior is Disney Delusion™ at its best.
Umm, the Beast WAS a villain at the beginning of the movie remember? it was only AFTER Belle "civilized" him he became the hero. I mean, heros don't torment old men, imprison pretty young girls and verbally abuse them, are cruel to their staff etc. so he is on the correct cake for the start of the film.
Now onto other things. I would LOVE the T.A.R.D.I.S cake as I have a key to the police box and am ready to travel or eat as needed. :-) I wonder which regeneration comes with the box? I'm hoping one of the first 5!

By the way, Up probably is one of the sweetest Pixar movies ever made (possible tie with Toy Story 3) and it is wonderful to see that sweetness captured by sweets.

I wonder where the Pinterest image came from? It's got a different background (photoshopped?) and is lacking the 9, but it's obviously the same cake.
If I'd been presented with that Mary Poppins cake as a child, I would've totally plotzed. I had planned on being her for Halloween this year, but I've committed to two other costumes, so that'll be next year. It's the costume I've wanted longer than any other, so it NEEDS to happen.

I saw UP at the drive-in when my baby was a week old. We'd had a crappy NICU stay and my husband was about to lose his job and I was at the refreshment stand wanting to eat everything since I was a week postpartum and the baby had figured out the nursing thing and was darn good at it. I turned to the screen during the opening montage. It was the sweetest, saddest thing I had ever seen. I was literally SOBBING when I got to the counter. "I'd like a twist cone, please." I'm tearing up now just thinking of it. (The baby is now four years old. He's fine. I'm the one weeping just remembering it.) Thanks, Pixar.
And now I want cake.
It's so awesome to see our Adventure Time wedding cake featured! It was such a work of art, and so yummy! All the cakes here are gorgeous, but Beast should not be on the Villain cake.
When I was little, I hated Adventure Time. (You know, I kinda would say that I don't think it existed then, but I saw it on TV sooo...) Now I am less little, and let me say two things:
