What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Batman Attacking A Shark With A Light Saber... Plus A Cow Udder

There are lots of crazy cakes out there, minions, but the thing to remember is there are distinctive LEVELS of crazy.

What's that? Do I have examples?

I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED.

Ahem hem hem.

[extending pen-pointer stick thingy]

First, we have Good Crazy:

Because while no one NEEDS a rainbow worm covered in Gummi Bears, why the heck not?

...which can be surpassed by Awesome Crazy:

Or, crazy awesome.

Then we have Bad Crazy:

That's right, running down frisbee players with your new birthday car is bad, Mark. BAAAAD.

First, let's just assume that says "Curt."
Second, Why?
Third, Why?
And fourth, SWEET STAY PUFT WHYYYYYY?!

Ahem.

Also, celebrating the US Navy's birthday with a sinking Titanic isn't so great, either:

And finally - and my personal favorite - we have Bat Sh*t Crazy.

This is the crazy that isn't bad, and isn't good. It's the Chaotic Neutral of crazy, if you will.
(And if you got that, YOU ARE SUCH A NERD. [let's be friends])

For example:

Soccer player butts next to badly rendered Pixar characters.

And of course:

Cow udders.

Thanks to Jessica B., Dana G., Richard W., Lindsay D., Brian E., Anony M., & Cheryl S., who could really see herself understanding cows.

(I'm so proud of that pun I actually teared up a little, you guys. WHAT.)

Glad to see all the ballpoint pen caps saved from a watery grave. While I agree Titanic is well executed (one point off for not doing a proper yellow funnel), somebody got REALLY tired of doing portholes at some point.

My first thought about #1 was that it was of a rainbowized version of Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b5/HungryCaterpillar.JPG

That's Mater?! I thought it was the dog from UP. Then, the cake made sense. Moon Dog or Moon Doggy.

Dear George,

I am very sorry about the warts on your mitochondria. Try salicylic acid; your "Powerhouses" will be proud to show their clear skin in no time.

#7- Dear God, what IS that thing?

Chaotic Neutral is pretty cool, but not as cool as True Neutral. And not just because that's my alignment.
Yes, my actual alignment, not my character's. I took a test.
What. WHAT.
Yes, I'm a nerd.

I thought the rainbow worm was kind of cute. It reminds me of the classic kids' story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The gummy bears kind of ruin it, though. It reminds me of those unfortunate caterpillars that have parasite eggs on them. Okay I take that back, anything that reminds me of parasites is gross.

CF, I also immediately thought of "Dune". Cutest depiction ever. :-D

That's not a Frisbee in cake #3; it's one of the car's headlights. And her position is no accident. This European pair (based on steering wheel position) is sunbathing in/on his convertible. She's obviously the driver's girlfriend, as she matched her bathing suit to the color of the car.

A little late, but just seeing these now.
I'm guessing the last cake was to Celebrate George Washington Carver. Botanist who discovered multiple uses for the peanut.
Thank you to my elementary school essay
