What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

At Least It's Not A Land War In Asia

My favorite part is how it's written BELOW the picture.

I almost want this baker to be color blind, just so s/he has *some* excuse.

Fortunately the baker of this wedding cake followed instructions literally:

See? She *did* write it!

Thanks to Robert B., Tenae Z. & Kate L. for falling victim to one the classic blunders. Just remember, guys: never go against a Simpleton when CAKE is on the line! HAHA HA HAHAH AHAH HA... [thud]

Oops.

These are some of the BEST CAKES EVER! Oh, be sure I'm thankful I learned to move past the naive literalness I had as a child but the last two cakes, at least, make sense to me. I'm not going to go so far as to say that in the history of all cakes they blew the top five away but I really, really wish I'd been presented with those myself. :D

@BeesMom I love you in a non-stalky kind of way. Are you looking to adopt? I'm available.

The first cake could be easily fixed with the old caret ploy, like this: "Rays ^in the above picture."
Problem solved.

Will have to introduce these wreckerators to a nice deserted island somewhere where they can no longer wreck cakes lol. Sheesh. I would laugh at the error if it was my cake and depending on how bad.. I may or may not buy it. Still loved ordering a cake at Walmart and being reassured three times that they wouldn't wreck it. I think they saw this site lol.

The customer makes quite a... fuss...
Why they have to shout at us?
Apparently, they mean us... harm...
They do not like our kind of charm.

Just write 'wedding cake', I mean it!
They want yellow? Gonna green it.

The Cinderella cake could have been OK if the baker would have *FINISHED* it! Why would anyone think that was completed? And the "teeth" cake is just gross. It looks as if it had been decorated with old dentures.
