You could do it "sincerely:"

You could add an extremely specific qualifier:

You could also rant about the bakery's poor spelling skills...

Or - my personal favorite - you could leave a note on the counter for the travelers to find around 11pm after spending 9+ hours driving through tornado warnings and stopped holiday traffic and harrowing accident-filled highways on the way home from Dragon*Con. That way, they can stagger through the door, drop their many bags, and gaze with wonder and appreciation at your thoughtful missive:

Re: #4 Kelly's cake. Am I the only one noticing that both the note and the cake have the same handwriting??? The "note" (those are not sincerity quotation marks btw) at first made the "e" as a backward "3" but then changed it to their normal haNdWriTinG. I think it's a trap made by Forever Alone Guy!!!
The note is very funny. But on second thought, I would rather my MIL TOLD me there was a wasp or hornet in my house rather than unpleasantly and possibly painfully discovering it by surprise in the middle of the night. At least you were forewarned.
Now a text message the next morning "Sorry, guys, I forgot to tell you there was a hornet in the house last night when I left." THAT is unsettling.

Oh, and I also saw the toy solder as a frog. Disgusting on a cake!
The welcome home cake seems a little passive-aggressive. Complain to the manager, write to the company, but it seems a little silly to write that on the message on the cake.
