What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Others

Hm. Perhaps we'll need to add "furious" to that list.

Thanks to the friendly, festive, and fearless Laux for today's frosted failure. (See? It's not *that* hard.)

My thin, dark, older sister who used to be a nurse, used to make cracks to me (her larger, blonde sister) about the prime candidates for gall stones being fair, fat and forty....haha, I'm past 50 and still fit. She never got as far as putting it on a cake though...

At least they spelled everything correctly. It's one thing to be insulted by real words, but misspelled words? Adds insult to injury. Here's hoping Renee's birthday is whatever she wants it to be.

Maybe she's pregnant? (not unheard of at 40...)

It's sad, the design of the cake isn't horrible. It's kinda cute (I think). But I'm sure no one wants those types of adjectives on their birthday cake!

Ha ha ha ha ha! Could the cake have been ordered by a secretly jealous friend?

"How dare you feed me cake and call me fat simultaneously! Om Nom nom, love the icing." I'd eat the cake but I'd suggest that the person that brought it, leave before I finish it.

She's "fit", she's "fat", I think someone was secretly trying to call her "skinny fat" :-/

WOOWWW... was the baker left to his/her own creative devices and got carried away with the F words, or is the person who ordered the cake really really evil??

Not a joke. Coming in late, here, but... The fat acceptance movement has been around for over 40 years, and, while those of us who are fat & fit & proud & etc. are still (for now) in the minority, y'all really can't imagine that some of us might exist? Really? You've never heard of a proud fat person? You've never been told, in no uncertain terms, that acting like "fat" is an insult is not only scientifically unfounded, but also just plain bigotry? The level of outright hatred in these comments is sickening. Are you all really bigots just waiting for the slightest excuse to indulge evil and hate? WHO THE H*LL ARE YOU PEOPLE?

The fat just walks away...
