What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Glad you're up & running again! Wish you'd come to Charlotte, NC - I'd love to get you to sign pg 112 for my parents (Dave & Phyllis). That would make a great Christmas gift!

How about stopping in St. Louis before you hit Kansas City, Jen? MacArthur's Bakery is great!

Dear Jen and John,

The following whine is brought to you without cheese due to my lactose sensitivity.

Aw, c'mon, you pass right over it! TN is totally part of the world.

Okay, fine. But go there anyway, okay?

Alright alright. No pressuring. I'm not going to...be up all in your face about it. I'm just not that kind of person. I'm too short anyway. But I won't be up all in your chin about it either.

*huff*

I hope your trip from Boston to Atlanta is bor--fun. I hope it's very fun.

(IloveyouIreallydo)
Sincerely,
Green

W.V. garces: as in with your good garces you'll come here some day.

So sad I'll miss the Bethesda date. Murphy's Law - it's less than a mile from my apartment, and I won't be able to be there. I hope my homies give you a wonderful reception!

What about California????

October 21, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAllison

I love your blog and your book and your humor. I wish I could go to a book signing, but I missed the one in San Fran which would have been the one closest to me.

However, at the risk of sounding like a bitch, I was born and raised in Massachusetts and Framingham is not Boston and is actually kind of far from Boston. So you should just say Framingham :)

October 21, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnonymous

I'm shocked and dismayed
at how underwater lairs
are not on the tour. . .

October 21, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHaiku Joy

Anon 10:20,

First, Yup I know it's not Boston. It's 18 minutes from downtown and it's the best we could do.

That's about it.

I'll put down one more resquest for SLC Utah! And for that logo on a shirt.

October 21, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterGrays

Ooh, I had been planning on Atlanta, but I have a show that night :( I'll be there in spirit!

I'm so glad you and John are both better. You were in my thoughts!

If you're up to adding more tour dates somewhere in Wisconsin would be appreciated. :-D

October 21, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnonymous

Oh I just wish ya'll would come to AZ.

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDomanique

You are unfortunately not coming anywhere close to me, so I will admire your tour from afar. But I just wanted to let you know I adore the new little logo. Carrot Jockey is pretty stellar with his arm sling and bandages.

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLauren

Interesting. But I don't see LA. You know, I just thought of a great cake inscription:

"You Can't Spell 'Get Well Soon' Without L.A.!"

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterNatalie

Oh poopie, I wanna join! When are you hitting Portland, Oregon?

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCherish @ My Cup of Tea

It would so great if you added a potential few more dates in Pittsburgh PA!

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnonymous

Shame. No Canadian dates.

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLose That Girl

Maybe some day you'll come to Ohio. That would be awesome but we can all dream right?

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSly

Once again, NO Los Angeles date.

Do you know how many book-buying foodie blog readers are here in LA?

you're missing a MAJOR market, girl!

October 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDiana

I'm still begging for a St Louis stop!! PLEASE!?! =)

Please come to Detroit! If you both are feeling well, and there are no un-fore-seen injuries, oh course! I was trying to convince my family to drive 6 hours to Chicago, but somehow that didn't go over so well.
